Wondering if anyone knows if the plans for the old changing rooms/hospitality building in the corner are still planned to go ahead? Wasn’t the council 2 million set aside for that part of the re development as that was for the community. Or has it been absorbed by the east stand build

Not as far as I remember.
The plans were to develop it but it was all Wakefield and other community investor money.

I think Ellis said he had different plans now.

MC I think in an interview last year said that it was still going ahead but it would be after the east stand was built. I would presume there was money allocated for the refurbishment to a gym/shower rooms etc over 2 floors but if Ellis has different ideas then maybe we will see other refurbs in the ground.

As it stands though the last official message from the club was that this work on the south east is going ahead. I expect that will still be the case as a fan with no insider knowledge.

Hopefully it wasn’t soaked up in the east stand on top of all the other cutbacks endured.

As far as I understood it from when we did the forums, we spent the money on the stand and North Stand etc.
The Rollin Shack was a phase 2.
They had plans but it wasn't part of the original money. They were working with the building company and Wakefield college to build and then use it.
But unless they signed some contracts that is all just ideas now and it's down to Ellis to decide.
He isn't bound by what Carter and Minards wanted to do in the past.
Though personally I liked the ideas.

Don’t suppose as fans we will ever know regards money and funding and probably don’t need to.

I’m sure whatever Ellis decides to do it will be to maximise revenue for the club as a whole.

Looking forward to seeing how the new banner looks on west stand but just curious as to where they are planning to put the scoreboard that’s currently up there. Looking at the mock up it looks like the screen will be covered or have to be relocated.

Usually the big screen follows gameplay doesn’t it?

I’m sure it’ll either be relocated or something else will be used. I don’t think it’s that old though is it? Only a few years I think but may wrong.

Yes. No point ditching it.
And on TV games the score is small on the big screen.
Just needs moving higher up.

Hopefully those pictures on trinity facebook of the new banner on west stand aren’t the completed finished article and more is to be installed.

If it’s staying like that I’m not a fan all. Seems half finished from the mock up.
