Boothroyd and Bain will be at risk top I suspect, Bain we haven't seen and Boothroyd is injured long term so I can't see the club hanging onto these two over Uele if he keeps on impressing.

We are saying players are under contract, but we have no idea what those contracts look like, just like SL only contracts that void upon relegation, you can have a contract that only relates to playing in the championship, I know this for certain as I know a player that is currently with another club that has one..

It’s far too early to be deciding if anyone needs to make way or not and far too many games to play yet. Let’s see how they get on over the season first. The club will make the right decisions I’m sure.

Oli Russel reminds me of when Powell signed Gale at Cas and we all know now that went, similar age, similar pedigree, both not setting the world alight but you can just tell there is a lot of potential in there in the way he plays. Powell picks his pivot players very well and I've got every confidence in him going after the right player.

As he's not getting game time at Huddersfield, could we possibly see him in a Trinity shirt before 2025

Seven or eight offers! Think we can safely assume they'll be British or French (with our eight overseas players to fit into seven quota spots). We can also assume Johnstone, McMeeken and Russell are three of the eight offers. Ellis says the others are all out-of-contract at the end of the year, and they're established SL players. So that leaves us with something like:

Full backs
Gareth O'Brien (could offer good cover for Max, but doubt he'd want that)
Ryan Hampshire (I know he has a lot of fans on here, but wouldn't want him back. Can't square up the line, can't defend)

Wingers
Fouad Yaha (only 27, useful in back field, spent time in Hull so would love Wakefield)
Luis Roberts (Not proven as such)
Josh Charnley (Tough one. Obviously in the form of his life but he'll be 33)
Matty Russell (similar to above, think we can do better)

Centres
Mathieu Laguerre (can't see this but would take him)
Cameron Scott (rumoured - would be a good signing. Good athlete, plenty of improvement in him)
Zak Hardaker (please no)
Ben Hellewell (would prefer to see Joe Law et al)
Ben Davies (good player, not playing anywhere near enough at Saints so might look elsewhere)
Stefan Ratchford (can;t see it)

Halves
Danny Richardson
Jordan Abdull (not actually sure on this one, could just be that he's at the end of his loan. What a signing that would be.)
Marc Sneyd
Lewis Dodd (sure he'll re-sign at Saints)
Jon Bennison (same)

Hookers
Adam Milner
Amir Borouh

Back rowers
Alex Mellor (not a bad replacement for Ashurst. Good player, often injured)
Sam Hewitt
James Donaldson
Jack Hughes
Oliver Holmes

Middles
Matty Storton (rumoured)
Joe Cator (would definitely take him if fit)
Jack Brown
Yusuf Aydin (why not)
Matt Davis
Ollie Partington (Again, would take him)
Adam Sidlow
Andrew Dixon
Gil Dudson
Mike Cooper
And about 15 London players, though with respect I don't think we'll go there

So if those offers are McMeeken, Johnstone, Russell, Storton, Scott, who are the other two or three? Exciting times indeed.

Davies, Laguerre and Hewitt are probably 3 I’d be most interested in. Hewitt I think has a lot of potential and is very much in the Ashurst mould.

I think we need 2nd row forwards the most and some backline utility cover.

I would take Hampshire though he’s been playing mainly halfback for two years at Wigan now and seems to have made a fairly good transition. He would be a good option to replace Kay but offer cover at fb, halfback and wing.

I'm sure Vagana played some grassroots rugby over here in his younger days.

Wouldnt that change things?

In my opinion vagana is the player at risk, he has the size but has not been dominant or been a problem to any opposition, he has not been a problem to any defences, I do think he has ability but is low on force or controlled agression.
