Didn't abdull only say in an interview last year before the derby "I hate hull FC now" people complaining about hardaker signing, would you want someone at the club that hates the club?

Hardaker signing is contentious I must admit. He’s not the attacking threat he used to be, and has had off field issues. I guess he’s learned from the latter. He is a decent defender, which is what all players must be, and if a big part of his remit is to help youth development then I’ve heard he’s good here too. We have to look beyond the lazy analysis of past his best and a bit dodgy? Similarly Okunbar - I hope he gets a couple of further first team opportunities to show he has the application of the talent that’s is within him.

From what people are saying, he seems to be a good role model on both the playing field and the training field for the younger players. In that sense, it could be a masterstroke. Obviously it's the off the field stuff we have to be careful of. Time will tell.

Club seem to be targetting experience at the moment and are keen to not overflog the youngsters so it would tick those boxes. Throw in Grix's connection to Halifax and shipping Tindall out on loan... yeah, I can see it happening.
