On the subject of Abdull, although I wished he'd stayed with us, his pathway was blocked here (as were a few others at that time). He clearly felt he was good enough to be a first choice half somewhere but it wasn't going to be with us back then.

Injury wise, whilst he's had injuries in the past, he seems to be going well this year with Catalans so hopefully something that he's put behind him.

Ability wise, clearly got the skills to lead us around the park and a monster kicking game.

As for those quotes from last year, whilst not a good look for him, it was derby/rivals round week and could have been designed to stoke the fires more than anything else.

Give him time. It's usually may or June he gets done for the season. Far too much of a risk to be spending marquee money on for me. I can understand its only £50k on the cap but what's the use if he misses 2/3 of every season?

The guy has always struggled fitness wise and clearly isn't a naturall6 fit person hence he picks up a lot of injuries.

I'm pretty sure we will sign him and won't get good value

Impressive stats from hardaker last night. 10 tackles and 3 misses - wasn't someone claiming he'd shore our defence up? 9 carries for a massive 44 metres. Imagine what he'll be like in 2 years.

At least he's the model professional off the pitch

Dunno how much Rovers would want as a fee? 100k? Or do they just want him off the cap?

You follow the NRL closely mw. One of the quota places is almost certainly going to be a hooker. Any realistic options?

Woolford is the one that stands out, linked with him last year and can't get into the Raiders side.

The coach I want is the same coach I wanted after Radford and again after Hodgson. I want McNamara.

Has it really only been a month since Smith was sacked?! Wow! That's actually shocked and surprised me. There's so much going on and so much chatter it honestly feels like a lifetime ago now.

The only problem with that is, he's not gonna be beneath Myler in matters of Rugby. So I know it's a non starter
