Charles and Martin are gonna be top class. Good to see Trueman back and Briscoe was very good. Aydin works hard. Why do we not give the ball to Pele, he's there, running on to the ball and give it to someone else!

The amount of tries we concede on the Lane and Sutcliffe edge is concerning, they always jam in and leave Martin on his own

Defence better apart from the periods either side of half time when Pele and brown came on for Sao and ese ese. Attack absolutely woeful again though, hoping it improves with the return of Trueman.

Positives - thought briscoe was solid, a much safer wing option than McIntosh, walker was great at fullback, Martin looked dangerous at times, ese ese and Sao had a real dig.

Negatives - cam Scott offered very little, I didn't realise he was playing till about 30 mins in, Okunbor can't do much worse there surely? Whilst he has potential, Pele needs to work on his timing of runs, defence and cutting out silly things like running behind his own man and giving away a penalty. Think Grix took the wrong half of at half time too, Charles should've gone off to have a break, too many games at once isn't good for his development. Still giving away penalties / conceding at silly points in the game, we could have gone in either 6-6 or just at 6-0, but instead we went in at 12-0, definitely an area to work on

Burgess has really spit his dummy out about this interchange business. Seems a bit odd to me.

Sutcliffe is a weak link and not a great centre to have when you have a young inexperienced wing.Tindall also has struggled playing off Sutcliffe
Centre along with the second row and halfback is a priority for next season.
The team currently has no shape and Houghton at nine offers no direction or attack so time for a change here to see what Smith/Balmforth or even Moy can do

Sutcliffe plays the game like a second rower rather than a centre. Can't remember the last time I saw him put a winger away down the side line.
I actually think he'd do a better job at second row than Cam Scott. He is willing to take a lot of carries and does make good metres. His defensive decisions as a centre are poor and he leaves Martin exposed a lot, but to be fair, most of the times he jams in its normally because his second rower has done the same so he goes to fill that spot.

Burgess made himself look a right sausage. He should keep his own house in order then this wouldn't happen.

The confrontation with Myler was pathetic

Houghton regularly chooses the wrong option. That pass behind everyone in the first half was abysmal

Why didn't we move smith to hooker at half time? Had to be worth a try.

As for burgess he was pathetic. You feck up, take it on the chin and don't embarrass yourself by begging the opposition to give away their advantage.

As for player welfare, I'm guessing he wasn't telling his 17 + stone forwards to run at a young kid like Jack Charles all night?

I'm sure if saints were stupid enough to do the same in the cc semi he'd be happy to lose the advantage, we'll I guess he'd have to now after his public dummy spit
