Fair point, would Fev not come under the same council jurisdiction mind? I literally have no idea if they do but would not be surprised if so

Wakey and Cadtleford were waiting on new grounds, Featherstone improved their own ground. Remains to be seen what Wakefield will actually do (been making promises for years!), I don't know if construction of Cas' new home has started.

Yes same council but Fev took it on themselves to improve their ground off their own back.

Something they should be commended for, and this is from a Cas fan. 8)

Obviously as Fev fan I'm biased but it's easy to understand Mark Campbell's frustrations. His team finished top of the Championship table four years running at a time when there was no promotion/relegation, and he's literally rebuilt the ground with his own hands and those of the fantastic Stand Gang volunteers (mostly pensioners)...meanwhile the two other local clubs have had uninterrupted handouts from Sky of £1.8m or whatever it is year after year yet have achieved nothing in improving their delapidated stadiums.

like I say, they were promised new stadiums. Featherstone wouldm't survive in SL.

Tell me on what basis Featherstone would be less likely to survive in SL than, say, Wakefield?

Because no SL standard player is going to decide to play for Featherstone, a good small town club but no financial muscle. I'm not being insulting, it's just my opinion,

maybe so, but honestly, i think we got the best day, 9 day turnaround for the wire game the following week, they will have 5

the only ones who will be most upset will be the ones who wanted to spend sunday on the lash pre game

If Fev were in SL - and getting the same Sky payments as current SL clubs - we would have far more financial muscle than some existing SL clubs.
