Is Hodgson the new Griffin, or is it all about pace?

Re: In's and out's : Tue Sep 04, 2018 6:21 pm
In 2017 we scored 13 tries less than Leeds who were 2nd in the tries table, so our attack can't have been all that bad?
Even this year, despite missing key players, we're only around 1 try a game less than Warrington in 2nd place.

Every Full Back, indeed every player has strengths and weaknesses. Ratchford for example is a skilful Full Back but doesn't have the ability to score spectacular individual trys.

Rather than criticize what he can't do lets applaud what he can do.

Shaul has one thing that the team lacks in abundance - Pace.

But the problem is that the gap between our try tally and Widnes is closer than the gap between us and Warrington.

Taking one shot extra a hole at golf doesn’t seem a lot but there’s a world apart between a scratch golfer and one with an 18 handicap.

It's a fair point , but , 2017 we had a pack who behind we could score try's using the radford way . This year , look who we've scored our tries against and who we've struggled to score against , yes I know we've injuries blah blah blah , but our attack is one dimensional and without a dominant pack it's easy . The squad we've had over the last couple of seasons , when other sl teams have been weaker , we should of done better league wise and been much more entertaining . The cc aside , I think we've been an ugly team to watch . I've not enjoyed super league under radford

Don't exaggerate, people are just pointing out that there are areas of his game that need improvement.

Ratchford has scored spectacular individual tries, maybe not as many as some fullbacks.

You have identified Shaul's problem. Yes he has scored some fantastic tries. However his defence is not too hot and he seems almost incapable of any sort of link play. He is really a one trick pony.

Half back vacancy at FC?

Wouldn’t take any notice of rumours from a site that has students and kids writing up the stories.Brock will stay in NRL,roosters linked with him

What is his one trick, supporting Sneyd?

Roberts after James Cunningham so maybe some mileage in the rumours of a Tommy Lee return? Let's hope he's not one of these quality players Pearson was talking about
