If you were a potential candidate for the job and Myler said yes we've got investment coming in, to prove it we've got McMeekan, Broadbent and Johnstone signed up for next year, you'd think great, I've got 3 good players coming in and something to build on...I doubt it would put many coaches off taking the job.

Two of those have already signed for Wakey, before Myler and the investment. Broadbent has potential and I'd sign him, but his signing won't make headlines. None of these will be cheap and I wouldn't want to be spending big on a winger before the new coach comes in.

Just about every club will have been in for those two, so to sign for Wakey, shows how much money they are throwing at them.

McMeeken and Johnstone have been done deals if you believe the press well before Myler was in charge. Broadbent is hardly gunna entice a new coach to come in. Hes a back up at centre at best.

If there's one thing that Hull fans understand, it's that an expensive squad isn't necessarily a good one! :NAUGHTY:

Looks like Danny Richardson is available for a loan deal.

Maybe worth reuniting him with Truman short term.

Jordan Dezaria and Tom Amone would be fantastic squad additions.

Jacob Alick in the back row, plus an NRL 7, and a couple of outside backs would be nice

Personally I am happy for the club to take it's time with signings and even the head coach appointment. If we rush these, history tells us that we tend to make mistakes.

I have no problem with us getting short term players in. We need bodies to protect the younger players and we need some experience. The loans accomplish that as does bringing Briscoe back. Yes, it's a longer deal than maybe the club wanted but he's bringing a lot to the table off the field for me as well as what he can bring on the field. The ideal signing? Probably not. But maybe a smart one.

You have to read Grixs thoughts on Briscoe to understand the signing. We have young lads who need to come out of the firing line. We have gaps that need plugging, we need some quality and experience to help the youth. He provides also an uplift in club morale. (There will always be people who sap energy). There are no top quality backs around in their 20s available. Hence Briscoe

There was one he has just signed for HKR
We have an ex NRL wing sitting in the stands low on confidence play him there.
I would have no objection to Briscoe coming in on loan but not on an 18 month contract.
Its about ambition and we dont seem to have the management that are savvy enough to fulfill it

Part of the appeal of the job has to be how much cap space and overseas spots we have. Mylers job is to get the players the coach wants.

Like Briscoe?

Can't believe myler doesn't have a time machine.

Cant believe he is still on his ass here instead of being in Australia for a few weeks meeting agents, prospective players and coaches face to face.
Its only quality overseas players that will dig us out of this huge hole and give fans a reason to start returning to live games
