The club is to be congratulated on the signings that were revealed last night and the eye catching season ticket announcement. I shall be discussing that with my Father in Law today, be daft not to take up that offer.
Despite being part of the staff at the club, the first I'd heard of the offer was last night. To be honest, we'd be daft not to get behind it. If the most we have to pay is £60, then lets buy a ticket. I'm tempted to get one, despite the fact I get entry to Dons matches with my RFL Pass.
Its a brave idea that the club are running with, and, if it comes off, will hopefully pay dividends in the future.
The other thing that has been mentioned on here, and not really talked about is the announcement that all U16s get in for free next season. Again, this is a fantastically brave idea, and, if it works (the product on the pitch will hopefully live up to the expectations that the coaching staff have), we will hopefully attract new fans through the door.
The community work mentioned is also a great thing to get involved with, and the club will again do well if it comes off.
If SO came away a happy bunny then the club have cracked it.
I think there were a lot of people who weren't sure about things who made decisions last night based on what was put in front of them, I know of 5 people who weren't buying a ticket, then, on announcement bought 5 season tickets.
I know he has his detractors on here, but I thought Carl put his points across well and was quite emotional about what the club means to him. Even Rays pre-event speech was quite emotive, and I think that resonated with a few people who were there. The Dons have a strange effect on those fans who support the club, and its something that needs to be allowed to be shared.
