I've been in touch with the club and they've been in discussions with West Wales for some time regarding bringing the kick-off time forward.

The Dons are expecting to make an announcement about developments later today.

Why? Is something happening on Sunday?

How early would you like the opposition to travel?

Is it not inconvenient enough to change the venue of the game,at such late notice?

( I may NOT be being particularly serious ) :)

We could always move the kick-off back until after the World Cup final has been played. Everyone could have a lie in then! Only kidding! :D

To be fair, the venue was changed months ago, hardly short notice.

I have said all along though id both clubs aren't happy to move it; they can't

If England do make the final , the club would be better off putting a couple of taxis on as I cant see the crowd being over twenty.

Even if the kick off is moved, people are not going to drive to Featherstone to watch a nothing game against a side getting pumped by upwards of 80 points every week when the world cup final is on.

If one books up 3 months in advance, for trains and accommodation,as one is advised to do by the railway companies, and hotels, for competitive prices,it was short notice.

Just as well I booked bus travel and alternative accommodation.

Have tent,will travel.

I'm just guessing - but should Engurland reach the cup final - and score a goal from a set-piece - the goals will be repeated in full glorious colour on many, many future occasions.

Keighley have now brought their weekend game forward to Friday night. Hunslet v Bradford is a 1pm KO. Workington v Whitehaven is 1.30. Coventry v Hemel and Newcastle v N Wales are starting at 2pm.

Our game is the only one due to kick-off at 3pm. A 2pm kick-off wouldn't really work as fans still wouldn't be home by 4pm. We'd need to have a 1pm start like Hunslet v Bradford.

Unless N Wales agree to the change it can't happen, and we've still got to consider whether Fev could get all the staff in early as well.

It's a no-brainer for me though. I like football but I'd rather watch the Dons than the World Cup final even if England are in it.

They are all playing people who live round the corner, Wales have hours of travel so unless someone was going to pay for them to stop over the night before (and why should they do it themselves) it's not as easy for them to move.

I love the Dons, but i'd not want to miss the chance of watching what could be a once in a lifetime event for a nothing game between 2 teams who can't achieve that much this year and will be repeating the affair next year
