Ryan Dixon is 26 by the way.

At the Fans Meeting on Thursday night, Carl mentioned that an ex-Hull KR player might be playing this weekend but I can't remember his name. It could be Nathan Slater but I'm not 100% sure.

Thank you

Thank God I'm an atheist.

Charlie Graham scored a hat-trick of tries against us last Sunday.
But these came in the 54th, 74th and 80th minutes and we were pretty much shot by then.
So dunno how good he really is.
He had number 9 against his name and Buchanan had 3.

Nathan Slater played for Myton Warriors in the challenge cup games against the Dons in 2017 & 2018 & he scored a try for Myton in the 2017 game.

Could I just agree with some of the earlier posts ... whatever people's thoughts are on any other Dons-related scenarios, please get down to the Keepmoat on Sunday and support KK's Testimonial.

Kes has given tremendous service to the Club over the years, through good times and bad, and fully deserves our support.

They are young 18 year olds just filling in whilst you have players missing.
Doubt they will be regular D/R players for you this season.
Both have plenty of pace

Make of that what you will.
We are consistent... losing by 60 two weeks on the trot.
Totally artificial though, so next to meaningless.

I thought that Beryl was our stand-out player.
Welham was good as was Dixon and one or two others.
Paul Cooke looked in better shape than when he played for us and he played well for the short time he was on ... fair took me back to the better times he did.
That kind of class we don't have anymore.

Ray called me an old moaning git... it must have been a result of my question about the half-time prize money.

One bloody miserable day weatherwise and not much better on the field.

Still there is always next week.

Men against boys for the 2nd week running. Shame for Kes that the game was a mismatch but congratulations on a well deserved testimonial. Anyone know what the crowd was ??... At the moment were miles away from being a promotion chasing side next season.

This isn't a criticism just an observation from yesterday's game. I thought it was really noticeable that most times when they had the ball, they kept the legs driving at start of tackle (even their youngsters in the halves/wings) and made 10-15 meters every time. Which in a set gained 30-40 meters regularly. We on the other hand concentrated on getting to ground as quick as possible.
As I say not criticism just comment.

That's a fair point Graham. I noticed it too.

I don't think the Dons players hadn't got it in mind not to 'drive their legs' in the tackle. When the other team is stronger, or has three men in the tackle, the option to go to ground when you've got the ball is a better one than being driven back five or ten metres, which Leeds were very good at. With Leeds better fitness levels they were able to keep this intensity going throughout the 80 minutes as well.

Being driven back was probably a reflection of Leeds' dominance more than our lack of desire to make yards on impact.

The real test for us is whether we can do to other teams in our league what Leeds did to us on Sunday.

Looking forward to the London game as we should be a bit more match fit and hopefully have a side out that resembles our best 13.
