Did tell you raising your game against the wrong opposition was madness, in a meaningless game “for you” the Derby you calculated wrong, the points were irrelevant to you, you doggedly hung on for what, to be a spent force in meaningful games, bigger battles, the curse of the Derby, it could be your swan song.

Jeez, how many more should we have rested?!

The big difference between this year and 2016, when some decisions were born of complacency almost bordering on willful dipstickery, is that so far this season I think Rovers have got more right than wrong. Without so many injuries to our best handful of players we might even have nicked 8th. When it became clear we wouldn’t, we brought in reinforcements.

But there’s very, very little margin for error in the shizzle 8s. Leeds at Headingley, with all that means, is going to be ‘tough’ so we’ve got basically none now. Going down again would probably be worse than last time, despite the parachute payment. The only consolation would be that, to me and by itself, it’d just feel unfortunate. Poop can happen.

we wont merge end of, on a different note bad results for both teams last night, we have had 2 really good seasons and a poor one this year albeit injuries have played a part, you also have had a poor season again partly due to injuries, yet don't see many calling for sheens head ? you would think we where in the middle 8s and you where in the top 8 if you didn't know and looked at this forum, not a lover of this system and hopefully will be scrapped,

We agree to differ on your choices for the Derby selection, you would certainly had Bobby playing, and perhaps a fresher Danny Tickle especially at his age, top performances don’t come every week. The Derby curse, just when you think your out, it draws you back in.

Good luck with the remaining fixtures, you will probably win more in the run in than our spent team.

Performance relative to expectation, innit? Sheens inherited... well not much really. The roots of our problems predate him. He’s done a good job. If we get relegated this year, then as I say it’s just one of those things - I don’t think there’d be much justification for blaming anyone. Just our current situation and the way this system ‘works’.

For Hull, the danger might be that you end 2018 in a way not too dissimilar to how we ended 2012. It can be hard to regain momentum once it is lost.

Hate this stupid competition..in effect a mini league where if you have a temporary bad run or get on the wrong end of a crappy decision in a crucial match you get relegated. Over a full season if you finish BOTTOM you should get relegated, if you finish TOP of your league you should get promoted, simple simple simple...too simple for the RFL. God forbid we go down again. I am thoroughly peed off.

First of all let me say I am a Bradford supporter.
Clearly HUll and HKR should NOT merge. What would be gained? far from combining 2 well supported clubs you would end up with one club of indeterminate support. The new guy in charge of SL has said that SL clubs whilst appointing him may not like some of his decisions. He wants SL clubs to build their support and have a large profile in their area. This is something that both clubs clearly have. Salford on the other hand clearly struggled before their move and even more now. Manchester has shown it has no appetite for our game even to the extent that Salford FC and FC United have built up considerable followings whilst starting from scratch.

Spot on Frankie, that's the only saving grace for us. I hope you can put last night behind you and get the right results from your remaining games.

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

First it was "you'll never get in Super League", then it was "you're ground won't meet the requirements", then it was "six easy points", then it was "you won't be awarded a licence", then it was "all your best players want to play for us", then it was "Hudgell has taken your club backwards", then it was " you'll go bust now you've been relegated", then it was "you'll never get back in Super League", then it was "you'll finish bottom".

All the while it was "we know how much all your players get paid" and "we know who should be your coach" and "we know how all of your ground development funding works" and "We know what Hudgell eats for breakfast".

Now it's "if only you would listen to us as to what team you should pick and what your game and season strategy should be".

Will this endless Hullsplaining ever end?
