Did tell you raising your game against the wrong opposition was madness, in a meaningless game “for you” the Derby you calculated wrong, the points were irrelevant to you, you doggedly hung on for what, to be a spent force in meaningful games, bigger battles, the curse of the Derby, it could be your swan song.
we couldn't really lose that game , you were so inept, actually threw the game before kick off you still refused it ,Salford miles better than you on the night

Lol can’t remember saying any of the above, just an observation on the last Derby.

We got Lunt McGuire Tomkins Vai Vai Greenwood back and a full 80 from Carney. In theory we were much stronger but in reality apart from Greenwood they looked unfit, crap or both. Atkin got shunted onto bench for Carney to stink the pitch out. First 20 Salford were there for the taking but we either knocked on.miscounted tackles or kicked like had wellies on.Salford then realised good solid simple rugby would win the day and we were soft down the middle again and just rolled over us. You would like to Think Blair Masoe and Jewitt would have evened up the battle a bit but the attack was that poor it looked like the halfs had never played together? Which they hadn't. Most important game so far in year and we change a half pack pairing that was working well.Atkin needs playing in front of Tim's pal Carney .Just sends out all the wrong signals ie not earning your place. This is fine if like Hastings you come in and play well but Carney could be still out there now and he still wouldn't find a telling pass. Lack of energy from whole team. Blair and Cator really put themselves about v Hull. Friday only Mulhern Atkin Greenwood Quinlan seemed to care?

In reality, our forwards were simply outmuscled. Missed Masoe, Blair, Jewitt and Carney on the wing. Salford will be one of the toughest teams we face in the m8s. I expect even Leeds away won't be as bad (that doesn't necessarily mean a win though). If we manage to turn over Toronto away then things will look different.

Our opening fixtures of the m8s were always going to be rough.

Lack of direction in attack wasn't good enough though. Should Vaivai have backed himself in the 2nd half? Not kicking on the last in the first 20 mins etc.

Lui's interception typified things for Salford. Every 50/50 ball they gave managed to stick. Their first try, the player had to reach behind and juggle to control. Some days things stick for you other times they don't. Friday was one of those days. Time to move on and concentrate on the remaining 6 games and finish above the MPG.

At least we didn't lose at home to a less fancied Championship side. We lost at home to a decent SL side.

Agree about the forwards but with Scruton Mulhern Tickle Tomkins Kav Clarkson Donno Greenwood it should have been enough for parity if they all give 100%. Tickle was very quiet given his recent good displays and Tomkins for all his size and reputation didn't get stuck in at all? The Toronto v Fax game today should be good and yes if we beat them away things will look a bit better

Scruton is showing his age - spent a lot of tbe match blowing and taking an age to get back in line.
Kav played OK.
Clarkson played OK but never been a real fan.
Donno great but too small.
Greenwood OK but not great impact.
Tomkins didn't get much ball distribution.
Mulhern awesome but he was the only one with the leg drives.

As I said, lack of Masoe for his power, Jewitt for being a nasty B, Blair fir his passion and Carney on the wing for his hand offs were a massive and noticable loss. I didn't understand the pundits saying this was our strongest team before the match either.
