The qualifiers concept is a joke. I was happy Widnes got beat last night because they’re the team that should go down with them finishing bottom. Whilst we have never finished bottom we once again find ourselves scrappyimg to survive. I kinda hope we and Leeds go down together because that’s 20k fans lost to the top flight.

Beaten again by the club with the paper thin squad, no money, crowdfunding to make money and no fans when it really matters. They finish below us, but we look like we could go down... again.

The system rewards clubs that don’t aspire to be anything more than clubs that make up the numbers.

Only in Rugby League.

The grapes must be sour in East Hull tonight.

Where do you start after watching that? Lazy slow weak clueless spring to mind. Just poor all round.Mulhern tried his nuts off but we were just miles away from competing in defence and attack. Not going to single out the halfs or pack it was all of them. Not sure how we can go from high energy great spirit team to a half arsed rabble who couldn't do the basics? Massive job for Sheens to turn this round

Didn’t say we wasn’t beaten fair & square. I’m totally peeved with the structure that rewards clubs with survival when coming bottom of the league. I won’t be returning to watch RL next season if we go down again due to this ridiculous structure.

But I will return, tis In the blood unfortunately.

Don't think anyone could say Salford didn't deserve the win tonight? Just at a loss as to how we go from good attractive rugby to being so far off the pace we looked like a team in pre season. Said I wasn't going to single out players but Carney was gash.He wasnt on his own but Atkin McGuire was working well. Why change it? Tomkins won't need a shower after the game. Oakes looked a fair way off again. Mose and Jewitt will score up the middle a bit but we are in the brown stuff again

All teams have patchy games. And tbh the wins against a weak Widnes side and a slumping Hull... well a win is a win, but we’re kidding ourselves if we’re saying they were anything like accomplished 80 minute performances. Scratch team vs Hull, of course but they’re poor currently.

The issue is that in this system, if that patchy performance falls on the wrong day, the whole future of your club is in doubt.

I’m fed up right now. It’s just pain with the odd respite - that’s as good as it seems to get. Emotionally, I want to lash out, but there’s nobody to rationally target. Sounds like we just slipped up at a bad time again. Shizzle, pizzle and plop.

If we get that £500k parachute payment, how about just wazzing it on a massive party?

If there is no struggle, there is no progress. Those who profess to favor freedom, and yet depreciate agitation, are men who want crops without plowing up the ground. They want rain without thunder and lightning. They want the ocean without the awful roar of its many waters. This struggle may be a moral one; or it may be a physical one; or it may be both moral and physical; but it must be a struggle.

Frederick Douglas

We knew what competition we entered in February and we've been the worst ever bitten side of this system since it's inception.
We were very well beaten tonight, and that's a huge worry.
I don't think it was a lack of effort, it's more concerning than that. Lack of being able to carry out a game plan.
Early days in a micro league, can't afford to do this next week, Sheens needs to get us up.

Simply unacceptable, complete lack of pride. Feels a lot like the Leigh game in '16. Belief well and truly gone. Bubble burst...
