On The Road Games : Tue Sep 25, 2018 8:42 pm
Catalans have just announced they're playing Wigan at Nou Camp in Barcelona next season. Expecting a huge crowd.

This season, we played against Wigan in Sydney as one of their OTR games.

Should we be looking at this as an option for one game? Where would you take one if so? Local (over the estuary) or ambitious (over the sea)?

Would love to see a game in Amsterdam one year!

If Grimsby ever get their new ground built that would be worth an on the road day to try and draw in support over there, but aside from that there aren’t many good stadia near us that don’t already host another RL club.

It's seems a bit odd that clubs have agreed three extra home loop fixtures to boost revenue only to move one to a neutral stadium.

The trip to Oz was lucrative by all accounts. Would imagine Cats and Pies will do alright out of it financially, otherwise there’d be no interest from either club.

ludicrous,no wonder season pass sales are declining, wigan like all other clubs spent the last close season trying to coax people to buy season passes, then the first home game of the season against the cup holders, they take to Australia, the previous season they played an home game at millwalls ground.madness.

Where there any incentives given by Wigan (fall in price or discount on travel) for these on the road games?

Wigan obviously think it worthwhile if they’ve done it three seasons on the trot. Plenty of fans from both clubs went to Oz last year and if discounts can be arranged on packages, Barcelona is a very popular torist attraction, it also happens to be the capital of Catalonia. Catalan Dragons represent this area, made up of part of southern France and Northern Spain.
