The footnote of course here is that these latest numbers are in respect of the 2017 season. I suspect the numbers look even better for 2018 with a number of players/staff off our books.
I made a point of thanking David personally after the Halifax game and I am sure others have done the same. The sport owes him a huge debt of gratitude and in the sweep of history he will be recognised as a key figure in the game's southern development.
In the present climate, it feels right that we should bring one or two, or a consortium of additional private equity investors on board to take the club where it needs to be. Despite all the hard work, it now feels like we have another huge mountain to climb to sustain the success - that will require great investment. It's no criticism of people working as hard as they can, bit the current quality of the marketing and match day experience are nowhere near good enough to compete with the other attractions available in London.
