£20 a ticket and £15 on beer and merchandise.....so an away fan is worth £35. At best, 1,000 is the average away support split across 11 rounds and I am being really generous here, so Toronto, replacing say Wakefield will cost a SL club £35,000.
The minimum turnover of a SL club is £4,000,000 so Toronto instead of Widnes is worth less than 1% of a SL clubs turnover.

There are many valid reasons for and against expansion into America, but "AWAY FANS" isn't one of them. :BEAT:

Just so we know what this thread is about, I'll keep it simple.

I am about to buy a business in the end of NZ that is where you'd stick a suppository and if successful will have all the time in the world, so I will again repeat my offer to give the club whatever they need in advice in terms of filling the 2,200 seats and more.

I am genuinely trying to convince the wife to BUY a game that I can then market to a venue, but she's not so sure I can fill craven cottage (IL paying for buses again would help).......but if the club need me, I am here.......I reckon London v Wigan in retro shirts with a decent amount of PR would see 20k........

Extremely interesting, have you approached the Club about your ideas. I confess I know nothing about marketing, though it is clear the club has been extremely poor in this area. We have missed so many opportunities in the past. this may be our last chance. would support a properly thought out marketing plan, with targets to grow attendances

The LBSA exists to promote the Broncos and Rugby league to the best of members' abilities. There are many skills within our membership and I know that members are willing to volunteer their time to make the Broncos a better Club.

Have you formally approached the club with your proposals?

Yes.....over the years I have approached the club and always met the same stumbling block......and whist as a 2nd tier club I agree that marketing was a secondary use of finance, we're back at the top table now......3K is the minimum I'd find acceptable

Pound shop bargain bucket marketing is all the Broncos know, hence the £99 season tickets.

At least they charge unlike some teams. Still an area which sees RL as a niche sport and as with others who give tickets away, they need to grow an audience.

Million pound game still raw I see.

Or rewarding the fans who have been loyal with a bargain price season ticket for Super League/

They do not need ticket money this year, they need to win people back over who are yet to give the club a chance since building their home in Ealing.

If they had starting charging prices the same as other SL clubs they would get slated for milking the fans.

Thankfully your opinion is worth about as much to the Broncos as the opinion of Gary Schofield

You know what?
For years I posted my opinions on this forum and regardless of if they were pretty, or accepted, they were permitted. Then I received a life ban.....20k posts in....with no warning, because I was suddenly deemed to be "wrong".....How far has this site fallen if @rsewipes like you are permitted to roam free to pi55 people off...love off troll.
You post less than 4% of your drivel on the rhinos board and you're a fan.......
Sorry Brian2......and if I get a ban then so be it, but this friend and his buddies are killing this forum from the inside
