Traditional Jersey Pattern : Fri Jan 18, 2019 4:35 pm
Is it any of the following?

Primrose/White/Blue

V
Regular Hoops
Irregular Hoops

Which is it?

Or something different?

All of the above plus stripes and with varying percentages of each colour!!

I'm sure that people have their favourites and I'd be happy to be corrected, but, I don't think we have a traditional jersey pattern in the way that Saints or Hull FC might have,

I think our longest run of shirt style was horizontal bands of primrose and blue for perhaps 1/2 a century.
Although I wasn't around to confirm it.

You may be right and when I was a kid it seemed that a rugby shirt was often characterised by simple horizontal bands?

I do favour simple, mainly white shirts such as the 54 and 74 Final shirts as opposed to the solid blue one we sported the year after GRRR!!!

I've said before, it has been statistically proven that a shirt with some white and/or red can give an advantage where the margin of difference is tight over blue.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

Blue “boiler suit” with simple embroidered “w” gets me all nostalgic.

How far in our history do we need go where we've beaten a team in red in a final?

Cobblers.
Stick a good side in a Mr Blobby coloured shirt, and they'll still beat a crap side in red.
Any fool can use stats.
e.g. Matty Russell makes three 50 metre scoots down the pitch, gainng 150M in total. All 3 scoots result in no tries. The rest of the game, he"s anonymous, apart from a knock-on resulting in a try for the opposition.
Jack Hughes, made 120M in total, set up a try, and made no mistakes.
Who"s had the better game?
Stats can tell you anything you want manipulating.
