David Furner and Adrian Lam. Two assistant coaches from the NRL came to Super League thinking that they could succeed. Well we have shown that they can't.

Time to call taxis that take them both to Heathrow for the long flight back to Australia.

Looking forward Shaun Flanagan is available. He is a proven successful head coach of Cronulla. Either Wigan or Leeds should hire him.

Yes. Some idiotic Leeds fans were booing McDermott and calling for him to be sacked halfway through 2011. But then those same idiots were booing and overly criticising Tony Smith in 2006.

Both have no experience of first grade coaching and it shows.
Why the so-called big clubs bring in coaches with no first grade coaching behind them is bizarre. It doesn’t need to be with a big club, but neither of these guys have had the responsibility of being the top man.
Sure, sometimes it will work. But it’s a gamble that the likes of Wigan and Leeds shouldn’t need to take.
Whether they are from the UK or Australia, these guys are undertaking a role they have zero experience in.

Furner does have previous experience as head coach of Canberra. A fair few years ago, and didn't go particularly well, but still....
