Looking forward to this game but I wander which Wakefield Trinity is going to turn up for it?
We have to learn to back up good wins consecutively.
The really annoying thing is that I firmly believe the talent is within the club to put a string of victories together and be up there near the top!

Agreed but the injuries we have picked up from Hull are a massive blow. Does anyone know how long they will be missing?

It’s a shame really as Johnstone’s finishing could be the difference against a team like Wire. Not having a natural winger in that position is crutial imo.

They are running red hot but even with injuries I expect to make a game of it.

I'm just pleased that we are going into this one as underdogs.
We've failed spectacularly when we have been favourites.
Arundel is the obvious replacement for Toupu but, the wing option is more difficult.
Putting Jowitt to FB and Hampshire on the wing would be a decent option but, Hampshire is playing exceptionally well at FB, both in attack and defence and it may not be wise to change his position.

This one will be a real test for us, especially with some adversity. A win would be superb but, it's hard to see too far past a Wire victory.

After the London and KR games, I've given up trying to predict matches now. Which I suppose for the competition is a good thing.

If we get a decent ref who's interested in cleaning that up, that'll go a long way to evening things up.
I don't think we have cause to fear anyone tbh.
However, TJ and Tupou have scored half our try's and Tupou is our top meter maker, that really ought to have some effect.
Still, we have some good guys to come in and if Danny Brush can kick the hell out of em, a win isn't so unlikely.

I say we keep as many in their correct positions as possible.
Hampshire is a big part of our attack so I wouldn't move him.

Arundel comes in to centre either way.
If Tupou fit I'd but Lyne on the wing.
If not I'd maybe play Max on the wing but look to check out wing alternatives from elsewhere long term.

Those are my thoughts also, lets not fanny half the team about to replace a winger.
Its not like TJ is even replaceable, we need to get a winger out there, not a swaparama fudge with nobody in their best positions.
Right now, Rocky is integral, if we don't have a suitable winger, Jowitt or Renolds is the least disruptive make do and mend.

Agree with all that PT

Ideally Joe and BT will partner and keep Hampshire at FB, Joe and bill will offer a different attacking partnership to bill and TJ but one with plenty of potential

Milky and Hampshire have being an exceptional attacking partnership so I defo wouldn't change that

If BT is out next week I'd go with one of the backrows in the centre

Maybe JH in the centre
But there's not a perfect scenario if bill is out

All teams teams are a threat, that's super league, however Warrington play high speed on the ball with forwards off loading with each other, each 2nd rower running inward diagonal lines to break through keeping your defenders guessing until it's too late, their hooker who is very quick constantly breaks the ruck, when they kick short & high off the line they like to Palm it back for broken defenders unable to catch the ball leaving their support runners an easy try time.
Like wise when defending they attack in groups & anticipate very well, That is how they derail & demorialise the opposition, it's going to be very tuff, onwards & upwards the Trin !
PS. Managing without Tom, we need a winger - short term, with speed, good defence & can catch a high ball, where is there one spare ? This is a serious question & answer if we are still serious this season, make do & mend will only restrict us & then waste this season ?
