Finally something positive : Mon Mar 18, 2019 5:07 pm
I’ll take every crumb of positivity at the minute. There are no disciplinary suspensions for Greenwood, Sarginson or Sammut from the Warrington game. Westwood charged with grade D for the headbutt and faces a lengthy ban.

So a 3-5 match charge, with no Early Guilty Plea available, having been banned for 2 matches in February this year.

Hope he cops the full 5, but they'll give him 3 I reckon.

Was expecting 5 bans for the 5 facial injuries the Wire players suffered.

I watched the Isa/Patton/Westwood incident back this morning for the first time since seeing it live and it gets more laughable the more I see it. I’m still confused what Pattons issue was or what Isa was penalised and sin binned for ten minutes for. Even Stuart ‘a ref has never made a wrong decision’ Cummings broke with his tradition.

As a wire fan Westwood should get 5 minimum, I agree that Isa's challenge looked fine to me....but I'm baffled by the no charge for Greenwood. Clear shoulder charge to the head.

Westwood should never play again.

That's assault.

Just my opinions unless it's a FACT, in which case it's a fact.

What it was was rank stupidity that deserves a ban. What it wasn’t was a Ben Flower style attack which was much worse.

He deserves a few games for the cowardly act of head butting a tiny Frenchman but in truth he hardly touched him, so 3 or 4 games seems fair enough.

Call me old fashioned but ridiculous penalty decision and Isa sin binning aside, I loved the blow up and the atmosphere that creates. It puts an edge on the next game and that can be no bad thing when it comes to striking up interest.

I wonder if you thought the same when Andy Farrell did it?

You are old fashioned Nicky.

It’s absolutely disgusting behaviour.

But I agree.

Love a bit of a tear up.

Only problem I have with Westwood is that I genuinely cannot remember him kicking off with a fellow forward. Every incident f with him I can remember has been against a back. Generally the smaller the better.

Happy to be proved wrong though.

Anyway. It’s all part of the fun for me. Love the biff. Just with we were not such a team of softies these days.
