I never get why people go on it when there's so much free (and legal) parking just as close.

Also the council car parks are free on Sundays, Golden Square, market and next to Cockhedge. Plenty of free parking within a 5/10 minute walk to the ground, no real need to pay for parking on Sundays.

There was less than 3k on for the opening game v Leigh and the main stadium car park was rammed. I used the shuttle bus from the trafford centre which worked well as long as you don't mind a bit of a traffic delay leaving. The Eccles RL club idea seems a good 'un to me.
