Wakefield Festival - Saturday 8th August : Sat Aug 01, 2009 8:09 pm

I know some of you are not keen on the Festivals being run, but it'll be good to see the TML teams turn out in force and at least give them a go. They are good days out and you get the chance to play plenty of rugby and keep you playing when you've got a gap in games.

Anyhows the next one taking place is in Wakefield next Saturday (8th August, rearranged from the 25th for various reasons). Starting at 11 and finishing in time for the Cup Semi Final match in the afternoon.

FYI

On Saturday the access to parking, fields and clubhouse will be via Daw Lane and not South View. This is due to repair works that are taking place on the car park. If approaching the club from Mackie Hill side, Daw Lane is the 5th turning on the right after the school. From Haveroid Lane, turn right at the end of the road and almost immediate left. The fields are around 300 yds on the right. There will be someone on the entrance directing you where to park.

Just to add the kitchen will be open selling hot drinks, bacon sarnies and chip butties. The bar has a full range of drinks including kids pop from 50p, bottled lager from 70p and Crigglestones' own draught lager at only £1.60 pint. We will be showing the challenge cup semi final on the big screen. Crigglestone All Blacks looks forward to welcoming all.

I've noticed many teams haven't got a fixture this weekend, so if you can get 7 players then come down and have a fun day out.

Excellent Festival today guys. Leon and the Wakey team did themselves proud.

Good venue, great spirit, a couple of new teams and some excellent Rugby played.
