Don't worry about the Tories being buried as they're 90% of the way there. Georgie boy is a total joke.

Masterstroke? It's just typical opportunism a fringe party can indulge in. I am sure UKIP can come up with plenty of other bits of taxation it says we ought not to pay but its a bit short on how it will replace the lost revenue.

Having said that its a pearler of a spoiler if Osborne genuinely was thinking about doing something about road tolls.

Whats wrong with charging those that use roads most for their use?

Its what a private market would do?

Or do UKIP live in some leftist fantasy that roads should be free at the point of delivery and paid for out of general taxation so that those that work the hardest are penalised for their hard work by paying the most, whilst the feckless and lazy pay little but can drive around the roads as much as they want?

Any examination of UKIP's economic policy boils down to one thing: "If we stopped paying the EU, we'd be quids in".

Their whole economic policy works around how much we can save, not how much we can earn

Business needs good infrastructure. Business would like to rig the market so that infrastructure is paid for out of taxation, rather than the businesses themselves fund it.
