When are you going, if it's around Thanksgiving then it will be quiet and a lot of places closed. Gambling wise it depends what you play, I hated every minute in Vegas and I was there 24 hours, definitely see Freemont Street, the rest of it is Blackpool on acid.(IMHO)
The Hawiian Tropic bar is well worth a visit though
That price was leaving on 7th November but can go anytime in November or January 2014.
Its something me and 10 mates have wanted to do for a few years now tbh.
I've been checking out the "nightlife" away from the casino

you're well before Thanksgiving so you should be fine, we didn't go in the Luxor when we went, we stayed in Treasure Island, for a week I'd try and get in the Wynn, but it would be bloody pricey I imagine. The fountains at the Bellagio should be just about in "holiday" mode fro Christmas, and they are just amazing, it's a very weird experience, a friend of mine said, before we went "it chews you up, and either swallows you whole or spits you out feeling grubby" for me it was the latter. Hope you have a cracking time.

Yeah the Wynn was another £200, we only need the room to sleep and shower really. Yeah im reading that you'll either fall in love or you cant wait to leave.
You reckon £1500 for a week ? Im 24 so the nights will be spent in a bar, clubs etc. Want to do GC and Cirque du Soleil.
I cant decide, too many places and not enough time.
I wanted to do Aus in November till whenever but im now tempted by a trip to Tokyo/Beijing and then possibly move on from there. A nice Eurotrip wouldnt go a miss, Germany, et al.

£1500 should be fine, it all depends how much you gamble (and how lucky you get on the tables), one thing I would do is try and get on guest lists for clubs, a lot of them have websites where you can put your name down (as soon as possible) and you might get a few freebies, then divide the cost of getting in up by the rest of you. When you eat go off the strip, you'll pay 50% more for having shiny lights etc.
If it's still on, go see Spamalot (watch the movies first though), should be easy enough to get checp tickets in advance. Don't leave anything until the last minute if you can avoid it, Vegas can be cheap as chips if planned in advance, but if you just buy on the day you'll pay a premium.

Luxor is OK but pretty badly located. £1500 would be plenty for a week unless you want to start booking tables in clubs etc.
We went on Thanksgiving and a lot of places were closed, I was advising based on my experience, "badly located" may be according to your definition and your needs, I am sure SS can make his own decisions based on various sources of information.
Remember, you think Vegas is brilliant, I think it's poop, we obviously have different standards and requirements. Instead of having a dig at me (as is your usual) why not give SS some other useful advice,?

Where did I have a dig at you? Where was closed in Las Vegas over Thanksgiving?
SS asked for opinions on his choice of hotel, I responded in that in my opinion it is poorly located, what is so wrong about that? I am sure he can make his own decisions too, probably to ignore your advice
Was Friday a bad day for you?
