This is utterly shameful, our government has purposefully created homelessness and child poverty. The EU has given us funds to try and alleviate these, but the cash hasn’t been spent and is to be given back. The Conservatives don’t even want to use EU money to help the homeless or children in poverty. I can only think this strategy, to willingly keep people in destitute situations, is so people living just above this level, struggling to get by, think themselves as the lucky ones and less likely to fight for change. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/education-49131685
