and Labour built how many?
You really are tiresome, you don't like the Conservative party, we know, you'd prefer socialist dogma and a massively expensive public service. News for you, it's not what the majority want. You'll be crying into your cornflakes come December 13th when we will have a government and Cringebin will be but a footnote.

So you are happy that there have been ZERO "starter homes" built under this scheme ? Trying to deflect the point with some schoolyard take on Corbyn's surname doesn't really help, does it ?
As to what will happen in the election, we all have to wait and see. The in fighting within the Tory and Brexit ranks makes everything rather difficult to predict but, thanks for your input on this one, as ever, it's well informed and really helpful

So, HOW MANY DID LABOUR BUILD?
Or can you not answer?
Be as attempted at patronising as you want, we'll just sit here laughing at you, tigertot, bren2k et al, you do know the pits are all closed and Mrs Miggins sold the pie shop to Subway some years ago?

HOW CAN YOU MAKE A COMPARISON ?? They are not in power and they didn't have this failed policy in place when they were. Yes, the pits have all gone (just about) and feel free to laugh. You clearly enjoy the prospect of further austerity cuts and those with the least having even less.
I believe the figure that you were looking for was somewhere around 7000 over the course of the last Labour government. A pitiful amount, albeit, slightly higher than 0.

I laugh at the general malaise of the work shy, do nowt and expect a handout generation, thankfully the Unions are dying, socialism is all but consigned to the wind and the ageing romantics are getting older by the day. As the saying goes, the older I get, the better I was. Jealousy is a sad thing, Johnson and his family have worked for what they have, what has Cringebin ever done, still pulling £100k plus a year for being useless though.

Who are you calling workshy ?
I've been fortunate enough to have worked full time since I was 16 and havent had any time off sick for over 20 years.
You really need to stop tarring anyone who doesn't share your right wing views, with the same brush. Unlike you, I'm happy to contribute my "share" through taxation and support those less well off and if that makes me a socialist, then, great, I'll take that.
Johnson like Corbyn, has been largely a career politician, it's just their politics that are different.

Right wing views? far from it, I am just sick to the back teeth of the corrosion of Britain by the left, ban fireworks, everyone eat vegan, equal rights (but some are more equal than others) it will come to an abrupt stop, we are out of the EU (and the more the EU have tried to hold us to ransom, the more convinced i am we should leave, and i initially voted remain) You are happy to feed the prolific state services, good for you, I am not, I see waste at every turn.

I know this isn't the Brexit thread but, where do you believe that the EU are holding us to ransom ? The fact that Farage & Co want out, with out having actually thought things through beforehand (especially in relation to N. Ireland and the Good Friday Agreement) is a situation of "our" own making and not the fault of the EU. The fact that we've had £ Tory Leaders who have each made a balls of things, isn't the fault of the EU, is it ?
Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.
This is far from ideal - however did this commitment continue into Mrs May's 2017 manifesto? If it did then its a pretty grim if it didn't then its a non-story - which is it?
We can all look at policy promises that both parties have failed to deliver - the past is the past perhaps its now time to analyse what the future might look like under either party.
Labour have a number of very attractive propositions - increasing fairness, remove tuition fees etc. The tories are about creating an environment where business can flourish and the inevitable inequality that will bring.
The issue for me is Labour's idea that re-nationalising key businesses will be self-funding and that these entities will be better off under public ownership. The sheer cost of Labour's manifesto will be eye-watering and will make the borrowing to fund the banking crisis look like pocket money. Debt will be off the scale and they cannot simply tax the rich and companies it will mean increased personal taxation it has to.
The Tories seem to lack precision for me but I do think the economy will ultimately do better under the Tories as business will get more room for growth. Will this filter down - that is the challenge. Do I think food banks and homelessness is a huge issue not in the bigger scheme of things its grabs headlines but if you could get food for free why wouldn't you?
Labour have shot themselves in the foot with their policy on Brexit - its not credible, the privatisation of the NHS is once again not credible, the spending plans are not credible. The Tories look tired and they need to increase the energy of their campaign and quickly. An interesting campaign
