I suspect this is nothing unique to this point in time. Whether this 'means we have underemployment' is dubious. Having a job is better than no job at all. Mark Carney was pursued for a long time by Osborne to head up the Bank of England, so credit must go to him for his appointment. What is clear is that nearly every indicator of economic growth is now positive after the mess Labour left.

No, his first name is Gideon. He decided he wanted to be known as George from the age of 13. I doubt he has changed it by deed poll, so his name is Gideon Oliver Osborne aka George Gideon Oliver Osborne.

Edit: He has changed it by deed poll to add George before Gideon, but theres no getting away from the fact for the first 13 or 14 years of his life (depending on who you believe) his name is Gideon and no hiding from why he changed it in the first place.

He changed it because he didn't like it - is that ok with you?

When you meet someone do you ask them if they have ever changed their name in their life and if they have do you then call them by their old name from then on, instead of their preferred new name?

Just bizarre.
