If we have another referendum and it loses and remain goes 0-2 down then best of 5 surely?

Sure if we keep voting until it goes with remain then Europe WON’T be standing there waiting and telling us to drop our pants, bend over and not bother with the lube.

It would be like dumping your wife for a new woman and then going back months later saying “I didn’t mean that, can I come back please”.

Anyways, never mind this Brexit b0llox.
What about these bloody boat people flooding over.
Have we got any figures since the weekend?
Are we still in high risk, major incident mode?
Is our island safe?

Another referendum is the only viable option now. 'No deal' is even less popular than May's deal among MPS

Another referendum is just ridiculous, it wont solve anything.

It looks like "taking control" will leave us begging on our hands and knees to extend the deadline.
Talk about lions led by donkeys. The shower in parliament are failing EVERYONE.

We should put a bid in for Putin

As you will be aware, the vast majority of those wanting another referendum do so because the country is now more aware of the implications of leaving. If the vote was to leave, providing the leave campaign wasn't illegally bankrolled again, there could be no complaints over the result.

Whereas leaving without reconsidering is like going to Dignitas because you think you have a fatal illness, but once in Switzerland finding out you are actually ok, but you go ahead with it anyway no matter how ill informed you were originally.

Can see it being either a softer Brexit now or another referendum. Another referendum doesn't get me feeling very enthusiastic.

I can see MPs going for the Norway model.

What would you want the question to be on the ballot paper for the second referendum

May's deal
No deal
Miracle deal
Remain

You say there could be no complaints about the result but, if it remained close (in either direction) NOTHING would be solved.
I voted remain and still believe this to be the best position for the UK. However, Mrs May should have gathered ALL of the support in Parliament immediately after the referendum and found the best way forward, through consensus.
Instead, right from the start, she insisted on doing it her way, without taking opinion from others.

First of all she should resign and then the new PM, either through a GE or elected within the Tories has to "beg" for an extension to article 50.

Although you speak about people now being better informed and I fuly agree with you on this, those that voted leave have become far more entrenched in their views and nowhere is there any evidence of a significant poop in public opinion.

Finally, the "peoples vote" campaign is being driven by the "remain" side to keep us in the EU and whilst I would happily remain, there is something fundamentally wrong in driving this agenda (unless public opinion had moved significantly since the original vote).

Unless Parliament can agree a consensus on what Leave we were voting for it would have to be ;

Remain

Leave - If Leave
-Option 1 hard Brexit
-Option 2 soft Brexit (to be defined in advance)

And would you count both lots of leave votes together or have "we" split the leave vote to help a remain outcome

As much as I would like the latter that would be difficult to get past even the thickest Leaver. Which is why I didn't put 3 straight options.
