Erm...that's kind of the point I've been making for weeks. :SHIFTY:

But crack on, as ill-informed dramatic interventions go, that wasn't a bad effort.

*Edit*: in fact I'll expand on that reaction. You don't even realise by posting that comment you are validating my extremely tongue-in-cheek (but clearly fairly accurate) post. I made it patently clear that I picked it up on social media and added a few lines, and one would presume that any rational person wouldn't therefore take it too seriously, even if it hits a nerve.

And you come back with "SO THE BEST WAY TO DEAL WITH IT IS TO MAKE UP SOME HEADLINES FROM A FANTASY WORLD?"

Are you Kathy Newman/Laura Kuenssberg/Kay Burley in disguise? You trot out a line that entirely proves the point being made. Kathy Newman's nonsensical triggered "so you're saying..." interventions are famous, so you never know... :D

To be fair, you're not the only one. A couple of other intellectually challenged lefty loons took the bait.

To be clear, in case you're still confused, the answer is no. No, the best way to deal with it is not to make up some headlines from a fantasy world. Not that in fact my fabricated headlines have any affect "dealing with it" given I'm not a scientist or medical expert or government adviser or doctor or nurse, so my fabricated headlines are clearly utterly irrelevant, but they still did the satisfying job of triggering the sort of idiotic left wing reaction the left wing can't help but serve up. No, the best way to deal with "it" it to let the geniuses and NHS do what they do and find a way to stop a lot of us dying, ideally before we are destroyed economically.

Trying to double justify your bollox, doesn't make it any less bollox.

No entirely sure who are you, but I don't need to justify anything.

The responses from Mash Butty and others have made the point very nicely.

Today’s real newspaper headlines provide an interesting cross-section, imo.

https://news.sky.com/story/sundays-nati ... s-11978833

It’d be naive to think that in polarised Britain that there’s any issue that won’t be politicised.

I feel a bit for those trying to hold the middle. That Kuenssberg is on Cronus’ journalistic ladies pooplist (snide implication of misogyny trigger bait) seems so remarkable to me that I assume it is an attempt to shift our perception to make the Telegraph (Johnson raring to go) or the Express (PM’s back to tighten grip on crisis) appear centrist.

Edit: The BBC includes a few more papers, including the Daily Star Sunday’s ‘Prem ace’s x-rated bash with models’.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/blogs/the_papers

How do we all perceive Daily Star readers and their voting tendencies? I’m assuming all sides will be as ready to claim them for the other as they are Kuenssberg. Or might the right try to cast them as salt of the earth types and turn liberal sneering at Star reader’s fondness for neopolitan ice cream and chips with curry sauce (all of which I grew up on and curry and chips, still now) back against those liberals?

Second edit. Breakdown of voting habits by newspaper readership in 2017:
https://www.pressgazette.co.uk/how-dail ... -election/

Salt of the earth Star readers leaned towards Labour back then.

You've gone and done it now.
I can't wait to get my joggers on to rush down and buy the Sunday Star with a clear conscience.
I'm just praying Laura Kuenssberg wasn't one of the scantily clad models at the Prem aces party. :SHIFTY:
I'll get back to you when I've examined the pictures. :D

I don't know if it is happening in other areas but I'm noticing more idiotic driving behaviours lately such as:
https://www.wigantoday.net/news/transpo ... ad-2550014
which is yards away from the entrance to Haydock Park (M6) trouble is:
https://www.warringtonguardian.co.uk/ne ... nhs-staff/
Haydock Park has been set up as a drive in testing area for Coronavirus, I hope to god they didn't cause a road closure and delay any doctors/nurses who could have driven from Manchester & Liverpool.

The main road near us sounds like the Isle of Man TT some evenings and weekends.

Anecdotal texts from friends suggest some people are driving like lunatics with the roads being so quiet.

That'll be me - as a key worker, with the daily emotional toll of trying to keep 450 vulnerable people and 1800 staff safe, I'm taking advantage of the empty roads by driving my electric vehicle like a fu**ing maniac; that, and the mindless clapping on command of Karen from Facebook every Thursday night, is all that's keeping me going.
