I'm going to Magaluf for a week in August, despite being 23 I'm not so keen on going but it's the choice of destination due to a stag do that's going and our party of lads having mutual friends. For the past two years we've been to Benidorm, I love Benidorm, cheap, nice weather and there's a good mix of young, middle aged, old people to interact with which I like. I don't have a lot of money so if I can get away for a few days or a week in the sun for a good price then I'll go.
I watched that Magaluf programme the other night and I'd be lying if I said I wasn't a bit worried. I'll be watching my drinking, I'm always a bit more reserved abroad than I am at home, weirdly.
Sometime in the future I'd like to travel Europe, my ex girlfriend was half Estonian and we were planning on going there for a few days before we spilt up.That really appealed to me.

I would be up for the drinking but the mate I'm going with, like you, is a bit more reserved when it comes to knocking them back. I've been to Benidorm a couple of times before (2007 last time) and it was the best resort holiday I've ever been on. It seems like you are allowed to drink at your own pace without drop-outs from Milton Keynes trying to force cheap cocktails with a 'free shot' down your neck, but there are still plenty of people in their late teens/early 20's up for a good time.

Thats a good point you make, one of the things that was identified in the Magaluf program was the cheap spirits that were being forced down everyones throats and the atmosphere thats created when you pay £30 on the door but nothing for your drinks for the rest of the night - plus free shots like you say.
The question of why the bar owners do it was answered by them being under commercial pressure from the all inclusive hotels, if the bars charged per drink like they do in Benidorm then the holidaymakers would just stay in their hotels - its a vicious circle.
Hmm, this year, just doing the London weekend stuff (in feb and in April). Going to Amsterdam on the boat for a lads birthday, and then Poland in the summer maybe for a week.
Also, may fit New york in, but if not this year, then next year. It will still be there for me. Oh maybe Spain too, who knows?
Yup. I would imagine I'll be in the Makarska vicinity when it warms up a tad.
Pine-forested, blue-seaed, coastal meander, or if in a more energetic mood up into the Biokovo mountains behind the town.
Did Faliraki about 89/90 with the boys. We got plenty but we were a bit cooler than the gangs of dickheads you see nowadays roaming around in the likes of that Kavos programme.

Would love to go back to New York, plus wouldn't mind California having seen the adverts on TV. Unfortunately due to us buying a house, we won't be going away for at least a few years.
I am going on two stag do's abroad this year. Amsterdam in April and Munich in May. Haven't been to either city before but I'm looking forward to going.
4, day Catalan bash in June, (does that count??). Got a fortnight motorcycle trip planned for early July to France/Northern Spain, planned on basing myself around the Basque Country area or the Pyrenees, slight problem regarding hotel/apartment costs though, my dates happen to clash with the tour de france and the bleeding bull running festival in Pamplona, every man and his dog wants to be there at the same time i do, plan on using campsites while on the road there and back but fancy a bit of comfort for the week or so while i'm there.

A beautiful part of Spain more like Switzerland or Austria than what you'd expect of Spain, I drove through it quite a few times some years ago (ok, more than 15 years since) and never had trouble finding lodgings in even small villages but as you say you may have been unfortunate in yoru date choosing , Le Tour should be through in a single day though ?
Just come back from New York, well early December and loved it. Sight seeing and plus the fact I love clothes shopping.
Just booked to go to Mexico for two weeks in August, Riviera Maya. Grand Palladium Colonial & Kantenah, five star hotel. Never been to Mexico so I'm really looking forward to it, can't wait.
