You do realise that any white person defending this country is complicit in your idea of racism. Its like we cannot be happy in our country any more without a fool bringing up something to complain or play the victim.
Did the idea of a nurse in the canteen not fit your rhetoric. as stated on more than one occasion racism is wrong on all levels. Labour are a crap political party no longer for the working class (of which I am one ) but would never vote for a party this badly run.I do think we need a party that can challenge the tories. Mr Giant you do seem to be on a crusade so i wish you luck .
Live equally without prejudice and bias - unless of course, you deny that exists.
Which in many ways is the whole point of the charge brought about by the onfield incident.
Prejudice exists in all forms of life and its abhorent but that prejudice is more a apparent across class and wealth than across race in this country. The heightened focus around BLM has (in my opinion) started to do more harm than good. We live in a country where there are circa 3% afro Caribbean decent and 8% Asian yet there push for equal representation is seeing (certainly on TV) people who are not really suited to the roles they are being given getting in them with a view it is just to meet a quota. I'd say TV has an anti ugly / anti fat bias, even the BAME representation is pretty and slim (unless they're meant to be funny) Footballers taking the knee to show a stand against racism in a sport that has no 'out' gay players is laughable. Is it better to silence peoples views or let them be aired and let the public decide whether they agree, if not form an intelligent argument. At least that way we know who we're dealing with. Jobs should go to the best person for the job, not the whitest, blackest, prettiest or not as in most cases the wealthiest old school connection.
Back to Clubb, is he racist, probably not, he's probably just thick and used his heritage in no different a way to if he'd called him fat / big nose. Still deserves to get banned but not cancelled.
yes I agree there are many forms of bias/prejudices in all forms not just to the minorities. Yes also there are too many minorities on tv especially on ads this does not reflect the society we live in.
Why does it matter what colour someone’s skin is in an advert on TV ?
If for 60 years all adverts were white people and now some adverts have black people why does it matter ?
It is like those people who said they were going to boycott Sainsbury’s because their Xmas ad had a black family in it. Why ?
I just saw a family like mine , celebrating Xmas with Turkey and decorations and presents etc.
I know some people find this hard to understand but in my experience most black people are like me. Working class, trying to have a better life for themselves and their children , doing the same things as you and me. Having the same colour blood so when I see them on TV it does not even register that there is something different about them representing Sainsbury’s shoppers like me .
i agree colour of skin should not be a problem on tv but when there are actors/actresses not getting a job because of their skin colour that must be wrong even in your one eyed take on society. It is obvious that there is a direction to employ more minorities thus it must be racist in the definition .And you cannot say they are trying to even it out as it has been pointed out that there are only 7% of our population minorities.
Actually people do understand and yes black people are like us some are good some are bad some are really scum just like every race on this earth.
Police violence against black people is much higher than against whites people. Even though there was no evidence of a racist element to this the facts about discriminatory behaviour towards black peoples is significant
You do know that more people with a black skin pigmentation were murdered by knife and gun, during a lockdown during a pandemic,in London, than the agitators have claimed have been killed by police, don't you? BLM noticeable by their absence, lack of finance, and lack of care.
As for the sudden increase in ethnic minorities on television. It may appear to the unemployed, disenfranchised, white skinned, indigenous population, that should politicians and academics, rioters and others, take action for political and self aggrandizement purposes, there becomes a bias. Where certain sections of society riot, more money gets spent. It ain't gonna get better for a mighty long time.Shame. Discussions could go on for ever. Not every person involved is a racist. The school teacher in Bradford, years ago,Ray Honeyford, now deceased, wasn't a racist. Neither was Enoch Powell. Whatever, the situation is certainly worse now.Fortunately, there are a lot of ethnic minorities doing sterling work. White folk jumping on the bandwagon haven't helped.

Were the white skinned people complaining when people of other backgrounds were under represented on tv?
It's a thorny subject but I do wonder if, when the sight of black or Asian people on tv makes some people upset, they might just perhaps be racist.
Dont talk daft I am not a racist and to accuse some people that have a different view is just plain stupid.
If all you see in a 90% white country is minorities on tv then yes they are over represented if around 7/9% minorities are on tv to reflect the society we live then it is right. You dont anyone complaining that there are 2 many on a rugby field mainly because that is a true reflection of our sport.
All good people are saying just have a true reflection of our country not made up to suit some agenda and certainly not to suit London.
