Although a quick basic geography lesson wouldn't go amiss. Howell said "north-east" yet the numpties quoted as replying seem to be defending the Trough of Bowland and Lancashire.

It is not the NE he is on about he is just shiite at Geography. What he actually means is dig up all of Lancashire and Yorkshire. sounds alright to me particularly as i live in Durham Not much shale north of teeside. Its not just politicians. When my Mrs section at work was moved to Leeds, the guy whose idea it was visited Sheffield to explain why staff had to move at their own expense and to big up Leeds. He described parts of Sheffield as "like Bosnia" to a roomful of people who either lived there, grew up there or were born there.

Certainly in part of the North East where there's plenty of room for fracking, well away from anybody's residence, where we could conduct without any kind of threat to the rural environment."
