I see our esteemed PM has opened "Wigan Youth Zone" today and is proud to have done so. Looking at their website they reckon to be the biggest youth club in the UK. Based in central Wigan apparently (which used to be where Wigan RLFC were based of course). Their website advertises football camps / training, presumably with Athletic. Is the RL club doing anything with them?

Yes.

The Lenagan family are patrons of WYZ.

A number of our young players help out kids at WYZ too including Ryan Hampshire.

Might not be a Pie myself, but got a lot of time for Ian Lenagan: good for Wigan RLFC.

The Youth Zone is great and lots of people were involved in setting it up.

Unfortunately, the man with the biggest wad and gob, is one of the few Tories left in Wigan and invited our Dave to open it. He couldn't really refuse due to all the money the guy has given to the Conservatives but it was heartening to hear, the much loved PM had to be snuck into the building and snuck out again when he left.
