Having a nuclear DETERENT didn't deter Argentina, and they aint got nukes!!!!
Catching water in a colander is the usual spiel, plus does anyone actually know if these things work?

Proponents of nuclear weapons would say they deter a nuclear attack. There may be something in that.

I don’t think anyone’s ever said they deter all wars.
