Me personally, I’m all for gun control. I think it’s shocking how easy it is to buy a gun over there. What do other people think?

Guns is a big money enterprise over there, doubt they will bring any new improved gun control for fear of upsetting the NRA.

A quote i heard some time before...

Guns dont kill people, stupid people with guns do?

Ready access to guns is anathema to most people in the UK - I can't think that any of us would see the prospect of buying an assault rifle with your Friday big shop as a good idea; it's a weirdly backward and uncivilised aspect of the US - particularly the religious nutjob element, who will happily claim that god granted them to right to own a gun, showing both a lack of critical thought, and a glaring misunderstanding of the founding principles they claim to hold so dear.

Perhaps we shouldn't have invaded the Americas and slaughtered thousands under the banner of "Christianity" and Empire Building?

It is a CONSTITUTIONAL right to bare arms, have you seen the Declaration of Independence, the Louisiana Purchase? have you been to Capitol Hill, up the Washington Monument, been IN the Whitehouse?

no, thought not

It is definitely deranged idiots with guns that kill people, not the gun.

It's good that the founding fathers foresaw the popularity of the t-shirt.

With regard to the constitution - it can be amended, as has happened 27 times since its inception; otherwise, women wouldn't be allowed to vote, alcohol would still be prohibited, and slavery would be legal.

With Trump's arm the teachers and the "good guys will take out the bad guys" theory, there seems little point in having any gun laws and "good" will prevail.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, innocent people continue to be slaughtered by people who have been able to arm themselves all too easily.
I know that we have rising gun crime over here but, the lawmakers in the US really do need to take a long hard look at themselves and decide what future they want for their children and grand children.
The only absolute certainty is that there will be another massacre over there in the next 12 months and the politicians will all do another lap around the political gold fish bowl.
How many times can they appear in front of the TV cameras looking "shocked" and "outraged".
