With Trump's arm the teachers and the "good guys will take out the bad guys" theory, there seems little point in having any gun laws and "good" will prevail.
Meanwhile, back in the real world, innocent people continue to be slaughtered by people who have been able to arm themselves all too easily.
I know that we have rising gun crime over here but, the lawmakers in the US really do need to take a long hard look at themselves and decide what future they want for their children and grand children.
The only absolute certainty is that there will be another massacre over there in the next 12 months and the politicians will all do another lap around the political gold fish bowl.
How many times can they appear in front of the TV cameras looking "shocked" and "outraged".

"Thoughts and prayers" seems to be the order of the day; fat lot of use that is.

The refusal to see what lays before them and pandering to the powerful gun lobby means there will be little change any time soon and the "routine" sympathy becomes an ever more practiced and it seems that some of the racist gun slingers in the deep south would rather die than give up their right to arms.

you ever been to the US, tried to buy a gun?

No because tourists aren’t allowed to purchase guns. However, my brother has lived in Las Vegas for 20 years and all you need there to buy a gun is a Las Vegas driving licence and proof that you reside in the state of Nevada

You need to apply to the police, you need a referee & you need to satisfy the police that you pose no danger, which is a bit different.

You also need to prove that the cabinet that holds your gun is secure.

I cant believe this idiot has even tried to compare buying a gun in the uk to buying a gun in the states lol

Correct. My neighbour goes clay shooting, and until he got himself a safe cabinet installed he had to keep his gun at his stepfather's house some 55 miles away.

Yep! One of my ex-neighbours had to have his cabinet inspected by one of the big-wigs in WYP.
