In anticipation of forthcoming events I thought I'd get it ready for the next compulsive installment!

After the lull in proceedings it sounds like our beloved leader is to bring her withdrawal bill back for the fourth time in early June.

She has threatened to quit if she gets it through, & now the Tory machine have instructed her to go if it fails!

BoJo has already thrown his hat in the ring, presumably with many more to follow, Labour still fence sitting, Farage's latest incarnation & the Independent Group joining the party.

Strangely, I've missed Brexit. - Let the games begin.

It will be mighty interesting to see just what happens when May does bring her deal back to Parliament.
Thankfully, she's stuffed either way.

Every cloud and all that :D

You either need a new keyboard or smaller fingers.

I use a tablet, all the active content on here makes the keyboard unreliable. I don't tend to double check posts, it isn't unclear what I am writing.

I wish that I'd taken more notice of his name but, listening to on of the Brexit Party's candidates for the West Midlands was just hilarious (quite sad actually).
He was asked about their policies.
One policy only, to leave the EU with No Deal and he was further questioned regarding the Irish Border and he said that there wouldn't be on.
All good so far.

He was then asked how goods would be "checked" to ensure that there wasn't any contraband or goods avoiding taxes in either direction.
He said that they would run the risk of random checks.

When it was pointed out to him that there wouldn't be any check points or people to man these checkpoints, he said that it would all be dealt with after the election

What a set of lying lovers they are.

The Tories hadn't got a plan and Farage hasn't either, other than getting us out on WTO terms, brilliant.

Not to mention that Farridge himself is once again subject to an investigation about the legality of his funding - since it's now emerged that Aron Banks provided him with 30 grand a month expenses, a car and driver, and a whopping great house in London - all undeclared.

The man is a total fraud and a con artist; how any decent human being can see him as an anti-establishment figure worthy of your protest vote, is beyond my ken; he literally *is* the establishment.

So, a predictable EP election result. I terms of vote share, it's still very much a simple leave or remain question, nobody wants a soft Brexit hence the result for the Tories and Labour.

Vote share:

Hard Brexit - 35%
Soft Brexit - 23%
Remain - 40%

The media and politicians have talked for months of compromise, but its's clear hardly anyone wants to, and although I think there should be 2nd referendum, it's also clear that it certainly won't be the thing that heals the division that's taken place in the last few years,

Although it was a terrible night for the Tories, Labour, as the main opposition party, had a shocker.
Their policy of sitting on the fence and hoping for a Tory implosion has cost them dear.

They had to (and still have to) pick a side and stop fannying about, hoping to please everyone.

Like the Tories, their party is split but, there appears to be a majority of remainers and they need to pick their side and come out swinging.
It wont be easy as Farage has all the momentum and IF they become a remain party, they will be accused of going against the will of the people.

Alternatively, in the interests of avoiding "no deal" they may need to swallow their collective pride and vote through the lasts incarnation of May's deal.
