Drug testing : Sun Jun 09, 2019 9:20 am
We have drug testing in sport and many other work places. Why don’t our mp’s face random drug tests, with their seat going to a by election for any that fail.

Hi Andy

The Rugby Football League are in the process of reviewing the video that you are referring to. We do not condone behaviour of this nature and have contacted the player’s employer, Hull F.C., who have confirmed that they are dealing with the incident under their club rules.

They are the people who make the laws, if they are not able to stick to them they don’t deserve to hold such a privileged position.

Sport and construction are not the only sectors to look upon unfavourably on drug taking, most public sector workers would lose their jobs if they were caught doing so.

So they'll legalised heroin and crack on.

If only we'd have done it in the 40's.

Current thoughts - Mago out or get running up them plantations, get fit or get rid.
Maybe a back up halfback, someone with a bit of experience on a short term deal.
Big tall strong running second rower, like a McMeekin or Sironen type back rower.

Yep. Drugs test once a week for benefits claimants.

The hypocrisy is what bothers me - Michael Gove for example, introduced a teachers code of conduct, which included provision that any teacher found to have used class A drugs, would be banned from teaching for life.

It seems that in this country, cowed and subservient as we are, being posh is a licence to do whatever you like; drunkenness, racism, yobbish behaviour and casual drug use are all seen as somehow more acceptable, if you went to a private school and can pepper your language with Latin phrases. Bizarre.

Spot on, Bren.
Was he (Gove) also Minister for Justice), what kind of example was he setting or, had he given up taking class A drugs by that point ?

It's quite increddible that he is allowed to remain in the leadership race, unless of course, drug taking is so prevalent amongst the Troy elite, that there would be nobody left.

The main issue here is that it wasn't recreational drugs, taken as a student who, "didn't know ant better", they were taken as a grown man, who knew exactly what the score was (deliberate pun)

With regards Gove, isn’t it funny that it only comes out once he joins the leadership race to be PM?

We have a cocaine epidemic in this country, it’s a rarity for people not to sniff it there’s days IMO.

What is really strange is that this didn't come to light last time he was vying for the leadership.

Also it was an interview to the Daily Mail which isn’t it his wife works for? Seems strange but then again Gove is, you only need to see him run or clap to see that he is not from this planet.
