Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

I'm as shocked by that result as the next metropolitan liberal elite; seems that Workington Man was indeed prepared to vote against his own interests for the sake of 'getting Brexit done' - whatever the love that means - and that JC was more of an issue than many of us thought.

I am now officially retiring from amateur political punditry for a period of reflection - and to spend more time arranging my move to Scotland.

Excellent - keep that red flag flying :D

Yes it will be like Syria - the weak flee rather than fight for what they believe in!!

Guarantee if Yorkshire were invaded we wouldn't be fleeing across the border.

Have a read of this. The catholics should never have to out breed the protestants.......

This is the problem of the result we start to see comments like the above which in many cases will lead to violence by some who think they now have the right. I would point out that the percentage of asylum seekers in the U.K. in 2018 is 5% of the population.

I sincerely hope you weren't referring to my post which was more of a history lesson than an incitement to violence.
In northern ireland, the Catholic parties now control 3/4 of belfast and the DUP lost 2 seats.... North Down now has its first non unionist MP..... SF and the Unionist parties took a hammering...... Middle of the road political parties like alliance and the SDLP are the ones who will deliver a united ireland without a shot being fired.

No not you I know that like all parties that get into bed with the Conservatives they get burnt. The results now means as you say an increase in the possibility of a United Ireland.

Well, if it was aimed at me, you've missed the joke. I was referring to the English and Welsh heading towards Scotland in order to avoid Johnson's brexit.
