I hope that you feel proud, Tory boy.
The government that you support and act as head cheerleader for, froze the wages of the NHS hero's for almost a decade but, have the bare faced hypocritical cheek to stand outside and applaud, every Thursday.
They should have been properly paid through the austerity period and properly equipped to do their fecking jobs and not fed lies about equipment, while still doing far more than they are being paid for.

People like myself (and Bren) were telling you this for soooooooooooo long and idiots like you accused of being "lefties" or "commies"etc.

Perhaps you will, at some point, begin to realise just which people are worth paying properly and investing in and protecting.

A big clue for you, it's not the likes of Mike Ashley or Richard Branson who are interested only in themselves

Since you are revisiting history, you may care to comment on the nhs pfi debt, incurred by the Blair government. At one time roughly one sixth of the national nhs budget was going on repaying the debt .

What's this obsession with 'envy' you have? You've got nothing to offer, so you just spout your envy nonsense in the hope it wins the argument. There's nothing envious about wanting properly funded, fully functional public services. Enjoy your masters' herd immunity and their lean NHS. And keep doffing your cap.

You and I both know that some socialists are simply envious non achievers who blame anyone who has succeeded for their woes. The NHS is funded for normal function, these are far from normal times. I do not have a master, nor do I 'doff my cap', I want effiicient, value for money public services, but the present situation is hardly the time for pushing further reform. The WORLD is an unprecedented situation, people on all sides of the political fence or whatever shade of the spectrum are doing their best, a few individuals pretty much wishing a man dead because of his political leanings and upbringings is sad in the extreme.

NEWSFLAH - SOCIALISM DOES NOT, WILL NOT, and HAS NEVER worked. It is a lot like religion, laudable, worthy and utopian, bit no basis in fact.

Yes, a huge mistake (in hindsight), under Blair, plenty of schools and hospitals were built and what appeared to be a reasonable idea, to replace a large number of crumbling buildings, has cost way, way over the odds.
I dont recall the Tory opposition making too much fuss at the time though and there was absolutely no denying that "upgrades" were required.

Btw, does the mistake of the PFI deals make it right to freeze the wages of the doctors and nurses that we are all now so reliant on ??
You chose not to comment on this issue

When you look back, there were maybe only 2 or 3 posters on here suggesting that it was wrong to freeze their wages and I'm happy to say that I was one of them.
Most of the Tory apologists said how necessary Austerity was and yet now, with an even more severe crisis on our hands, money is no object.

I dont like Corbyn and never did but, some of the actions under austerity were just wrong, just as pushing vulnerable people towards the bright lights but, we'll leave that discussion for another time.

Your job is to say to yourself on a job interview does the hiring manager likes me or not. If you aren't a particular manager's cup of tea, you haven't failed -- you've dodged a bullet.

Cheers lads that's very humbling. We are all in this together, I don't feel in anyway special just getting my head down and getting stuck in as there are many many people doing lots of different stuff to help this country through.

It’s sad Pat that people who despised the NHS all these years are now trying to set some false narrative that you’ve all along been hero’s, truth is they didn’t give a toss.

They knew the cost of everything and the value of nothing :D

My family and many friends are all NHS associated andvare sickened by the faux ness of it all.

How long do you think before they forget you again?

You are deluded - the Socialist framework only works due to the tax revenues generated by the private sector. If the government had any balls we would not be in lockdown and we would accept that the deaths are acceptable collateral for the preserving the economy. Sadly preserving lives of a few thousand is a sacrifice worth paying for the destruction of the incomes of millions. Capitalism is failing because the government/public sector has dictated such
