Agreed
Nobody wants Gove running the country, not even Boris.

I too wish the PM and anyone else fighting this wretched virus the strength to overcome it .

Indeed, no one person is more important than another.

Once it was announced he had been taken in I said to 'er indoors (mind you we're all indoors) it would get worse.

One pattern in many fatalities seems to be to quite ill over a week or so but then show signs of recovery, feeling reasonably good almost to the point of normality, but then to suddenly deteriorate fast.

Fingers crossed but this pattern of symptoms never seems to end well.

I fear you may be right, he isn't on a ventilator apparently, as you say, fingers crossed and for everyone who has the virus.

Agreed, fingers crossed for everyone. Except Carol Baskin goddamit.

I don't buy this 'precautionary' / 'to be close to a ventilator' line, even for a PM. He must be extremely ill to be in ICU in the first place - and an extended fever seems to hint at his body's immune system never really tackling or winding down from the infection which, from all accounts, then develops into it going into overdrive, which is ultimately the main cause of death.

A few days ago I heard a doctor saying that because a ventilator is such a feckin horrific experience for patients, most are put under a general anaesthetic until they recover or don't. It also helps them synchronise with the ventilator. ICU is not a nice place to be.

Certainly not saying it's a given but I won't be surprised if tomorrow's news is dominated by his death.

Are you still a believer in karma?

Perhaps for all the disgusting, vile, abuse suffered by a good man like Jeremy Corbyn, at the hands of Boris Johnson’s right wing media allies? :D
