The next Conservative manifesto will just say “We will say and promise you everything to get elected, whatever you believe so do we, whatever you want we will provide” well right up to the day after the election when it’s back to look after our donors.

Isn't that what all the parties say, They all promise you the moon on a stick, till they get elected of course.

No with Boris his form is to try to be friends to everyone then when things go wrong he disappears and sends another minister out to try to bat away questions. The problem this time was he allowed the guarantees to be put in writing in the manifesto which he has spectacularly failed to honour. He can quote the pandemic but he had already got a plan several months before the election ready to go therefore one can only presume he knew it was incorrect what was stated and he was happy to stand on this and many other guarantees that turned out not to be worth the paper they were written on. I suppose like the Brexit deal he signed he could attempt to withdraw the manifesto and ask for it to be written again because he didn’t know what he was agreeing to.
I would ask for balance if this was a Labour government would the Conservatives be standing up saying it not the government’s fault but the pandemic. I suppose he tried to look more PM like by having his hair cut but he couldn’t keep it up and had to open his mouth.

Try that sentence in English or the closest you can muster because on face value it is a statement due to the fact that some children in the north are to be educated on the old Pacer trains, I agree it is what I posted.

No mention anywhere of the pandemic that has ravished the UK finances from the anti Boris brigade. I'm sure Boris would have loved to have stuck to his manifesto pledges but 'things have changed' in the past 18 months. But you knew that, but found it easier to ignore it just to stick the boot in.

What about his pledge on no new border checks for Northern Ireland, how did that prove to be incorrect and the fault of the pandemic. What about his ready made Brexit deal which he now wants to reject and have another go, how was this the fault of the pandemic.
If he was so certain that the pandemic was handled to the best of his abilities why will he not start an enquiry or even meet the representatives of those that died. It is not possible to give him a kicking because he is never around to be kicked.

If this was a Labour government you would in my opinion be defending them especially on the pandemic and the way it's been handled and as for you asking for balance give your head a shake please, if unless of course you believe they would have done things differently being experts in pandemics you would have muddled through like the rest of the world has in most cases.
Not sure what a PM is supposed to look like, maybe you could give us an insight which I doubt very much you can, or is it simply yet another pathetic attempt by you by being sarcastic in an attempt validate your obsession with our beloved Boris, as for paying the bill, the likely outcome of that is the taxpayer which has always been the case which I'm sure you know already, one last question if a labour government had been in power and had to oversee all this business would you expect them to pay the bill or would you expect them to pass it to the taxpayers.

I would not be defending them if it was a Labour government,

I would prefer taxes on inheritance and higher rate income tax . Not something that disproportionately hits the least well.off

Even vat increases on luxury items. Say 25% on cars over £33 k ?

Paying £1 k extra a year is not half as painful as an extra £130 when you are on £10 k.

How can he be your beloved Boris you don’t even vote but yet every post is defending the Conservatives and the PM. I think people would take you more seriously if you backed your stance and voted. With regards how Labour would have handled the pandemic a lot better than Boris or do you find the number of those that died acceptable and his inability to bring in lockdowns a good strategy. He had experts but for the first five meetings he didn’t even bother to attend because he had far more pressing matters like sorting his divorce out and arranging a baby shower. When he did he decided that herd immunity was the way to go after all he was happy to see the bodies mount up and that it would mainly be those over 80 and they’ve had a good innings. I guess these action are acceptable because it was a pandemic after all plus we had two weeks warning what was coming from Italy but what did he do what he does best nothing.
With regards appearances Michael Foot was constantly ridiculed for his appearance by the press and what crime did Corbin commit that merited the usual papers going into meltdown the fact he had his top button undone. We have Boris with shirts that are bulging, his buttons might be fastened but they look like they could become projectiles at any moment.
