I'm starting to feel sorry for you now. I wasn't joking when I said you need to seek help, although that would mean seeing one of those Sciencey-medical types that are all freemasons and probably withholding essential medicines from just you. I don't need to be a religious scholar to know that the earth and all life on it wasn't created by an invisible man in the sky; it astounds me that seemingly intelligent people continue to peddle this claptrap. Your version of it is certainly left of centre, but it's no less ridiculous - we moved on from this stuff centuries ago and the increasingly desperate attempts by the various cults to keep religion relevant would be amusing, if they weren't so dangerous.

Religion is about exercising control over the masses - the sooner it dies out, the better for everyone.

The funny thing with faith, Stan, is that it means you don't know either. You have a certainty that is based on nothing more than a cultural wish. You know as much as everyone else about an afterlife. Nothing. As for a personal relationship with god, what you really mean is you have a personal relationship with your own mind. If you could prove god existed you'd be world famous. Celebrated. Historic. The thing is, nobody can. I'd change my mind in a heartbeat if someone could provide proof. They can't.

Of all the nonsense and supposed 'proof' of crazy conspiracies you simply can't provide one tiny bit of proof for your core belief. You roll with it without knowing.

What you believe in tends to be an accident of geography. If you were born in Saudi you'd be muslim, if you were born in India you'd be a hindu. They all think they're right as well.
