If you've not seen the TED lectures, they are always worth a look if you have 30 mins to spare. Basically, scientists, theologists, inventors etc get a set amount of time to "show and tell" their ideas. They are often ground breaking and ingenious. http://www.ted.com/talks

Definitely worth a look. I've seen some pretty good ones on there like ultrasound surgery, driverless cars, 3d printing

I like TED. However, there are moments when they prohibit some reasonable content. It depends how you approach TED. if it's just on youtube, chances are you' ll be unaware.
