Had a new I pod touch bought for Xmas, I wanted it for holidays and to use via Bluetooth in the car, however, when I switch on mine it doesn't find any local Bluetooth connections, tried it with my I pad, and two portable speakers, no luck, any ideas? Cheers

On the iPod Touch have you went into Settings > Bluetooth and made sure the switch is green for on. It should then start displaying any nearby Bluetooth devices under "My Devices".

Then on the car stereo you might also need to find and pair it.

Sorted now thanks, the problem was that my I pad was connected to both Bluetooth speakers that I use at home, disconnected my I pad, turned on my I Pod and away it went. Thanks
