No they didn't. The Metrel deal fell through. The guy who agreed it wasn't in a position to do so, and apparently has since been sacked from Metrel. If anything they have probably got Cas on the cheap, as they would have stuck otherwise.

Probiz gave us more for the shirt sponsorship than metrel, and the metrel deal was the biggest shirt sponsorship we had ever had. As to what exactly happened with metrel, there are plenty of theories but no pones sure exactly what happened. Since than probiz have also agreed to sponsor the ground, with another wedge of cash (and we had no sponsorship for naming rights last year) all in all it looks like a pretty good deal for cas, thanks to our commercial gut craig poskitt who has increased sponsorship massivley since joining the club.

Hopefully the association with probiz will be very beneficial to cas and fax, who are my favourite championship team. Looking forward to coming to the shay this season when we play hudds.

Metrel stepping aside is simply not true. The guy who signed the deal was not authorised to do so and lost his job as a result. Metrel tried getting out of the deal, but the club reminded them the deal was done. I would assume the club have been actively seeking a new shirt sponsor. It would appear the are quite happy to lie to fans. I have known this for some time but chose not to post it, as I don't want to hive the naysayers ammo. Could explain the stadium delays too, iirc metrel were going to sponsor a stand for five years.

The metrel deal fell through because bliers(?) of matrel was not in a position to do such a deal, nor was the company.
As a business owner and employer myself I cannot understand why the club did not check out both the individual and the company before agreeing the deal. my understanding is also that the club has had little or no money from this deal and has placed the shirts into production with the matrel logo on !!
be ready to recieve your shirt with a dirty great sticker on the front covering this whole mess up .

As i said there are plenty of people claiming to know, but no one has any evidence to back it up, and in cas anything to do with the club spawns a hundred stories all from people claiming to know exactly what happened. As sure you well know alot of things posted on forums turn out to be utter rubbish. One thing i do know is that the probiz deal is bigger than the metrel one. I should also mention that one of the posters you have qouted, tttiger has slagged of the club or complained with every post they have made and appears to me be an alias of someone from cas forum (who inturn has differant aliases on casforum) who has a grudge against the club and appears to be trying to destabilise it.

Cas making noises to stay in SL as they won't have a ground.

Just seen some Probiz stuff around ground at WBA v MU match.

Not only good for the sport but the coverage Fax get on the back of it can only help us as well. The more I see about Probiz, the better the deal looks for Fax.
