Last 3 or so pre season games between Fax / Giants we have had a mainly reserve grade squad, with some of those guys pushing now through to our first team.

Brown would have to calculate whether a game against a weakened Fax side who have been stuffed by Salford and Leigh would be particularly helpful in terms of prep for next week. However the chance to see how our kids (there are many U18s on show) go against a leading Championship side with a good coach may be far more useful to the club.

Brown will attend but the coaches on the day will probably include Lolesi and Riding,

So depressing. I remember when they were in the pits of Rugby League hell without a hope and a prayer. How times have changed. We are where we are and it doesn't help when you have memories of Championship and Challenge Cup winning years.

Am saying it may be useful for NB to see how the prospects go against a good Championship side. Also we have around 8 1st teamers recovering from injuries / operations so there may be fewer junior squad members playing on Sunday. And following 2 first rate stuffings KH may prefer a game where you are not on the back foot quite so much. hth.

I notice Elland player Chris Cullimore & Freddie Walker are named for the Giants. I won't be attending even if the game is declared "on", not appealing enough I'm afraid, disrespectful Hudds Giants. My loss of gate money will find it's way to the Halifax club some other way.
