Saints offered him a 1 year deal, Long wanted 2, he was told a couple of weeks ago they wouldn't be offering longer than 1 year and was free to speak to other clubs if he wished.

As for Travel from St. Helens to Hull, I'm sure James Webster still lives in Hull and travels for his "Full Time" Training at Widnes. as did Loz Wildbore

And look how thats turned out!

If it's not in his contract that he has to move to Hull I can't see Long uprooting his family, especialy as he will probably want to move back when 2 years are up.
