While there was good news on the field yesterday, there was some bad news off it, with Calland confirming that prop Matt James has been diagnosed with a broken scaphoid.



The on loan Bradford prop was undergoing tests today to determine whether or not the injury - the same one that dogged captain Sean Penkywicz for most of 2008 - needs surgery.



"Matt's going for a scan to see if it needs pinning," said Calland.



"He's obviously going to be out for a while but we need to get on top of it rather than let it drag on.



"He'll be out for a while."
